I am a survivor of childhood sexual abuse. I was a victim of CSA at the hands of 2 cousins when I was around age 10. I had experienced other childhood hardships before this experience that led me to have low self-esteem. My father was not in my life and I had a serious father wound. I was also born with a birth defect that manifested as a lazy right eye. This defect led to me being bullied and picked on as a child. When the SA happened, it solidified my low self-esteem. I did not tell anyone about the abuse or the bullying that I had endured. My way of coping with these things was to internalize them and act like they had never happened. I did this for many years, well into my adulthood. I got to a point where I could no longer hold things inside and that is when I told my ex-spouse about the abuse and got into counseling to do my inner work. Since then, I have become a certified Christian Life Coach to help other women survivors find their strength and reclaim their power to live the life they were created to live.
