I am a sports performance coach that has been training individuals and athletes for 20 yrs. I was a 2-sport collegiate athlete in the non-traditional sports a male would be in. Such as powerlifting and cheer leading. I went onto play semiprofessional football, where we win a national championship. Most of my career has been in sales and management. I was a kid that grew up with a Hispanic mother and older father that was born during the depression. After my father became paralyzed, and my mother had to work a lot, I began getting into trouble and arrested in middle school. Some good male role models came into my life through those years, high school and college that helped guide me in a sense. We were very poor, but I feel it built me up as a man and person. We were very poor, I had to learn a lot of lessons on my own. I was homeless for a period of time while in college. I finally graduated after 8yrs of going to school on and off. I have 2 children and have been with my wife for 9yrs. She’s a first generation American, with both parents being from Portugal. I have also worked with and taught troubled youth which resonated with me because of my background growing up. This life has led me to what I’m working on now and that is to be a motivator. Speak my story. Talk to youth and athletes. And also talk to those in a corporate realm of strategic ways to shift the mind to meet expectations. Both theirs and their companies.
