Award-winning author Shain Stodt is currently writing a series of children’s books about a shelter kitten, The Sally Mitts Stories. The debut book in the series, Sally Mitts Finds A Home (The Story Of A Shy Shelter Kitten), won the coveted Golden Wizard Book Prize and a Purple Dragonfly Award.
While a professional dancer Shain wrote three plays for the Ark Theater in New York City, and scripted the screenplay for Isadora Duncan: Spirit of Fire, which premiered at The Museum of the City of New York and aired on public television. As an accredited sex educator (IASHI), she wrote for and edited the popular website The Sex Education Station, and published The Little Book of Honest Answers About Sex. Her first horror/fantasy novella, The Bones Beneath The Flesh, became a popular podcast.
The proud mother of seven rescued cats, Shain lives in North Carolina, close to the land and the animals she loves.
