Jonalyn Lavarias is a certified yoga teacher of seven years with expertise in trauma-informed yoga & meditation and has been practicing yoga for 18 years. She is a TEDx speaker and a survivor of domestic violence with a mission to help people heal.
Jonalyn is part of the Savannah Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Program for Safety & Resilience at the Chatham County Safety Net Planning Council.
Through this partnership, she is able to teach trauma-informed yoga in underserved areas in the community such as at the hospice, schools, refugee & immigration center, and women’s shelter. She is also a yoga instructor at the Jewish Educational Alliance.
Jonalyn is the founder of ZenJonalyn, a wellness and coaching service business that helps individuals alleviate stress through approachable practices. She currently offers a monthly virtual peer support group for trauma survivors.
